Stellar Stories #25-30

The Stellar Stories are the beginning readers that accompany the Student Workbooks. The stories help the children take the next step from reading individual words in a workbook or from the board to reading real books. They have been written very carefully to build confidence in children learning to read. Stellar Stories use only words that children can decode with the sounds they have learned so far. They contain no irregular words or sight words.

The Stellar Stories: 25–30 readers are used with Stellar Phonics to Reading Student Workbook 8. The words in this set of six stories contain previously learned sounds while progressively adding the special blends listed:

Stellar Story 25: Shirley’s Trip	adds er, ir, ur
Stellar Story 26: Barney Bunny	adds wor, ar, or,
Stellar Story 27: This or That	review ar, or
Stellar Story 28: Ginger Giraffe	adds ge, gi, dge
Stellar Story 29: Circus in the City	adds ce, ci, cy
Stellar Story 30: What it Was	adds schwa vowel sounds
