Gilgamesh puts the epic tale of a man’s search for friendship, immortality, and destiny in the context of ancient Mesopotamia. This new 40-page edition of the story is based on the original Akkadian text. Students follow the beginnings of civilization along the development pattern of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. The history of Mesopotamian culture, and its rulers, is explored, and a pantheon of the Mesopotamian gods augments cultural understanding. The five-part version of the Gilgamesh legend is included. Kids Discover Mesopotamia magazine is sold separately.Click here to download sample pages from Polaris Learning's Teacher Guide (applies to all packets), in PDF format [173k].
