Into the Light: The Story of
Helen Keller A new play for young people about the inspirational
life of Helen Keller is combined with biographical information,
theatre background, and directions for how to read a play. The play
traces Helen’s path out of the darkness of her sightless and
soundless world, into the light of speech and knowledge. The
accomplishments of her life including: learning language, attending
college at Radcliffe, and becoming a world leader in the education
of the blind are explored. The three-act play, written by Rebecca
Santa Cruz, is included.
